A mon goût la soirée commença par une belle découverte; DES ARK, fût une bonne introduction, avec un son puissant, gorgé d'influences post-rock et des musiciens animés par une langoureuse pointe d'expérimental! Du plaisir à l'état brut.
Après avoir découvert Liars en live à la Route du Rock cet été, j'étais impatient de les retrouver dans une ambiance plus intimiste telle qu'à l'Antipode. Fidèle à moi même, j'observe, dans l'obscurité la salle est quasiment pleine, tout le monde attend l'arrivée d'Angus Andrew sur scène et de ses acolytes! Le concert démarre dans le noir presque complet, je me laisse porter par l'ambiance électrique qui monte tranquillement. Je m'approche au plus près de la scène jusqu'à pouvoir distinguer les premiers traits de visages. Ensuite tout s'enchaîne, l'environnement sombre et torturé du dernier album (Sisterworld - 2010) est palpable autant dans la musique par leur interprétation que sur scène grâce aux flashs de lumières blanche et rouge très intenses ainsi qu'avec les fumigènes. Tout est réuni pour que le concert se passe de la plus belle façon, le public est conquis par une excellente prestation scénique et une qualité sonore propre à l'Antipode.

For me the evening started with a nice discovery : DES ARK. They were a good supporting band, with a powerful sound, filled up with post-rock influences and musicians animated by a languorous experimental taste! Pleasure in its purest form.
After discovering Liars live in 'La Route du Rock' this summer, I was looking foward to seeing them again in a more intimist atmosphere such as in l'Antipode. As usual I was observing: in the darkness the venue was almost full, everyone was waiting for Angus Andrew and his mates to get on stage! The gig began in nearly pitch black, and I let myself being carried away by the electrical atmosphere gradually rising up. I approched the stage as much as I could until distinguishing the first features of their faces. Then everything went very quickly, we could feel the dark and tortured environment of the last album (Sisterworld - 2010) in the musique thanks to their interpretation as much as on stage thanks to the flashy white and red lights combined with smoke. The best conditions for the gig to go well, the audience was thrilled by the most excellent performance and the good sound quality proper to l'Antipode.
